Love! Spa Days Return to Plum Market Old Town Apothecary

Back in the summer, the apothecary at Plum Market held a spa days event, featuring health and lifestyle products during a Saturday afternoon. The spa days event returns this Saturday, with the following vendors: Carlson, Irwin Naturals, Megafood, and Tea Forte from the supplements, and Dr. Hauschka, Dr. Bronners, John Masters, Trilogy, and Acure, from skincare, and Votivo candles.

During the event, customers can request information and select samples based on their preferences. Each of the first participants take home a wonderful bag of goodies from the vendors!

These skincare products contain fair-trade, natural, and organic ingredients, providing customers with holistic home remedies. I have sampled skincare from Dr. Haushcka, and it’s super  natural but not my favorite. Dr. Bronners magic soaps makes fair trade and organic soaps, and I have owned a Castille soap with about eighteen purposes.

From a light mouse rinse, to a body wash and a shampoo? Coming from New Zealand, I’m loving the Calm Facial Serum from Trilogy Skincare, a botanical line for radiance and recovery.

During the same event a previous summer, I attended and took home a John Masters Organics body care and haircare set, with a Shea butter cream, a sea salt spray, and the lovely and emollient face cream. I believe this line offers an avocado lavender hair conditioner?

Guests sipped complimentary Fiji water while browsing products and speaking with vendors in the apothecary. Each spa days event hosts a raffle also, with no charge to enter and an amazing selection of gifts from participating vendors. I sipped Cherry Marzipan tea from Tea Forte, with the light scent and marzipan, and took home a complimentary Joie de Noel mini-candle from Votivo.

Dt. Hauschka provided a Daily Hydrating Eye Cream and Rejuvenating mask sample, while Trilogy came in the goodies: a Cream Cleanser, Calm Serum, Very Gentle Cream, and Moisturizing Cream. Butter London, nail polish and lip balm manufacturer, also provided a purse mirror in the goodies!

On the supplements side, Irwin Naturals passed out Brain Awake, Coffee Bean Extract, and Power to Sleep supplements among others. These come in packs of 2-3 tablets, but to see the results you have to use them for a longer period. Chia Seeds packets from Nutiva and Hemp Hearts hemp seeds for smoothies and cereals, and a dark chocolate whey protein powder that I made a clever smoothie with bananas!

Plum Bergamot Cove smells lovely along with the Rosewater Driftwood hand soaps from Caldrea. John Masters, with their unique ingredients gave out Jojoba & Ginseng face cleanser, evening primrose shampoo, and sweet orange styling gel packets.

I have some Indian Gooseberry conditioner and Mange & Tucuma butter pomade from Original Moxie, from previous experience these are quite emollient and work better for thicker hair types or for people of color.

Mallow face cream from Weleda looks super delicious. I noticed this in the apothecary and am happy to take some home.  I have applied lip balms with marshmallow plant extract and it differs from the kind of marshmallow you toast, obviously.

It feels soft on fluffy on skin however!
