The whole body department of Whole Foods Market launched their first ever Beauty Edit bag on March 21 during the Beauty Week. Valued at $60 and contains a curated selection of deluxe and travel-size products for $18, described as cutting-edge cosmetics and luxurious skincare.
The Hello Beauty! bag also came with a coupon for Biosil beauty proteins supplements. In a soft linen pouch, came the following cosmetics: Pacifica Eye Shadow Duo, mine cane as Unicorn and Moonbeam combined, an iridescent golden shadow with a musty violet, Gabriel Mascara, in Black.
It’s about a full mascara, with a standard wand, dispensing a gentle formula made with plant waxes and vitamin B-5. The formula feels like a goop and looks slick like an oil spill or tar perhaps? It must be the plant waxes, but it does wear well and that’s the important part! I feel better applying a more conscious product on my eye area, especially because I wear so much mascara.
Pacifica eye shadow comes in a unique combination, as it’s good for layering with other eye shadows because the natural ones seem to contain less pigment, and you should definitely prime with Candlelight.
I actually like to apply a modeling mascara first to comb out the lashes and then something natural like this Gabriel Mascara to thicken them. Blackberry & Coconut Milk Ultra-Repair Shampoo from Giovanni smells and feels delicious, and it’s more innovative in terms of both scent pairing and formula. It contains botanical compounds, specifically antioxidants like Omega 3 & 6 to pamper damaged and processed hair. If you love both of these scents, coconut milk and blackberries, then you’ll love them even more when combined.
On to the best, the skincare, and you can even apply these in sequence for a facial. Once you cleanse your skin, apply the Microdermabrasion Scrub from derma e, it’s a finely granulated scrub that almost smells like lemons, it comes out like butter and then evaporates into your skin. Rinse. Skin still wet, and then comes the Cell-Stimulating Facial Mask by Acure. It’s a line I have used before, their marula oil, gently cleanser, facial toner, night cream, and currently the eye cream and firming body lotion, to name a few!
If you would like to scare your spouse or children, put on this green sea monster mask! Combining French green clay, sea buckthorn, Moroccan argan stem cells, and chorella growth factor this mask deeply penetrates. It leaves some residue and its better to also tone after this mask. To make this mask effective, you have a apply generously, leave on for some time, and cleanse well, not the most time-effective one out there. Back to the scrub, it’s salon-quality and contains dead sea salt and volcanic sand, super-fine granules.
Since there’s clay from France, stem cells from Morocco, salt from the Dead Sea, why not throw in some Vital Moisturising Cream hailed from New Zealand of all places. Triology Skincare recently popped up at natural grocers, and it’s purely made down under! This cream contains rosehip seed oil, marula oil, and orange flower, and it’s lovely because you can use this milky cream both daytime and nighttime. It’s a well-balanced selection of products, but not the most on-trend assortment, and to curate beauty bags, the Whole Body team would have to tailor to specific types and preferences too.
