Brown Box Club based out of the Finnicky Filly Boutique in Charleston, came into the Windy City to launch and promote their subscription box service at Frontier Chicago. The launch featured a display of their Brown Box, which sends out full outfits to subscribers from designers like Trina Turk, DVF, and Joie.
Subscribers can select any items to keep and then send back the rest in the pretty pink-ribboned boxes. You can become a member by filling out this style questionnaire.
Once you complete the questions, selected items within your style and budget come to your door and you keep what you love, and simply return the rest within five days. The benefits of this service, are that your personal style comes to the comfort of your home, curated with brand partnerships, like jewelry from T Marie Designs.
Sipping this Moscow Mule, with a dash of raspberry sponsored by the Frontier. This scene is rustic and earthy, with tree branches coming out of the ceiling and a stone fireplace, with pictures of horses on the walls. I’m munching on some cooked shrimp and cocktail sauce, and indulging in a sweet and subtle Pinot Noir.
Following an impromptu interview of the director of Brown Box Club, I see that this service values the personal touch of styling the entire outfit for their customers, compared to subscriptions that only offer pieces. This box costs $18.00 a month for a styling fee only if no items are purchased, and the first month is complimentary.
Brown Box Club partners with House Account, and you can download their mobile application to bring this boutique shopping experience home.
