STYLEMAX, hosted by the Merchandise Mart, takes Chicago by storm this October with a new Exclusive In Chicago installation, a blogger bar welcoming media and press, and a new selection of Life & Style. I’m covering the show and sipping coffee at the Blogger Bar, about to pick up some of The Better Chip. I downed four pouches of these spinach and kale chips on my way home!
Beau, a new on demand hair styling service, provided complimentary hair and makeup touch ups. I had my hair styled by a founder of the company with voluminous curls and Aveda products. While I DO prefer better hair care brands like Oribe and Kevin Murphy used at salons, how can I become picky about a complimentary styling. Smokey eyes and a touch of gloss on my nude lips!
These vendors are based in Los Angeles: Beatrix Ost, LA Made, thirty five millimeter and also showed beach themes and relaxed vibes. I’m loving the seventies inspired trends, like this cozy sweater from Feel The Piece.
I found one of the cutest baby clothing brands, Go Gently Baby, made organically! How lovely! I have seen this one at baby clothing boutiques and it makes me so excited for when I have my own children! The heart leafs print is so pretty. Booties to match from Freshly Picked, these metallic moccasins are the cutest ever!
In the lifestyle section, I noticed new collections shown from Tea Forte since I’m such a tea lover! Life + Style vendors were scattered throughout the show floor, showing candles, perfumes, home and skincare products. Even though these segments are of interest, the vendors hold no precedence over those found at more home specific and beauty specific shows, only taking from the focus and momentum of the show.
Thank you so much to STYLEMAX, care of Windy City Blogger Collective, for generously providing press tickets for detailed review by Oak Lovely Beauty.
